About Us
The Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula (JCCRP) is a member organization consisting of over forty Jewish groups serving the Rockaway Peninsula. Since 1972, the JCCRP has been providing services on a non - sectarian basis to those in need and advocating issues of concern to the community. The JCCRP offers information and referral service about community activities and resources.
The Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula is a proud affiliate of Met Council, a not-for-profit organization representing and coordinating the efforts of grass roots Jewish Community Councils and citywide and national Jewish organizations. It is the primary advocate for the needs of poor Jews, reaching out to the isolated Jewish poor and elderly, and increasing public recognition of the extent and nature of poverty among Jews through legislative and social advocacy. |
