Jewish Unity Concert, 12/12 @ Carnegie Hall

December 12, 2018 - 7:30 PM
Zankel Hall @ Carnegie Hall
881 Seventh Avenue
New York, NY

You’ve read the news. Perhaps you’ve engaged in debates around the Shabbat or Thanksgiving table, at shul or on Facebook. We are divided on domestic issues. We are divided on Israel. Recent polls show support for Israel waning among American Jews. We disagree with one another on fundamental matters.

Divisiveness is dangerous, especially now. The time has come to take a proactive move to unite our divided community.

We hope you will join us for an important JEWISH UNITY CONCERT. 12/12 IN NYC

This inspiring community event will take place at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall on Wednesday, December 12th at 7:30 pm. The dazzling program will feature Israel’s Ma’ale Adumim Youth Symphony as well as three choirs from the Ramaz Upper School in Manhattan. It is sponsored by The Bnai Zion Foundation.

Directed by Benjamin Shapira, the Ma’ale Youth Symphony will be performing selections from Leonard Bernstein’s Candide and West Side Story – in addition to works by Tschaikovsky and Rafi Kadishson — while the Ramaz Upper School Choir, Chamber Choir and Kol Ram Community Choir, led by Daniel Henkin, will present a program of classic and contemporary Jewish and Hebrew songs.
